SuperFoodLx is a family owned Nurse and Nutritionist hair wellness brand dedicated to making it easier to improve the health of ones hair through the incredible power of nature and science combined.
Driven by a passion for whole body health and sustainability, SuperFoodLx draw inspiration for their hair wellness formulation from centuries-old beauty traditions complimented by contemporary science.
This has resulted in formulations which aims to empower you with scientifically supported insights to help resolve common hair concerns.
The inspiration for SuperFoodLx
When Paula was living abroad she experienced an extreme episode of severe hair loss. She contacted her mother who made her a topical remedy like she used to do when Paula was child. Cherry got straight into the kitchen and a few weeks later, a small pot of oil arrived in the post. After using it, Paula’s hair steadily regained its strength and shine.
This sparked a journey for Paula to begin learning about what was actually in her haircare. She discovered that many of the ingredients used in haircare were not natural and often had little to no nutritional value. Understanding that the integrity in formulation was what truly mad the difference this helped establish the promises that SuperFoodLx relies on for each recipe formulation.
About Our Founders
Cherry Francis is the Chief Recipe Formulator for SuperFoodLx. Cherry is a state registered Nurse with over 45 years in the UK’s National Health Service. She was raised amongst the tradition of using plants, herbs, flowers and oils to beautify the body. This skill is reinforced by her extensive knowledge and training in French perfumery and natural hair and skin care formulation. Her nature as a; nurse, grandmother and foster carer are the loving standards she draws upon when formulating a recipe. Each formulation is borne out of Cherry’s personal philosophy to; encourage health, heal and restore the natural, scientific intelligence of the hair and skin.
Paula Francis is Cherry’s daughter and the Director and Plant Based Nutritional Advisor for SuperFoodLx. Paula advises on the ingredients and nutritional content for every SuperFoodLx recipe. Paula’s rigorous standards for maintaining healthy, luxurious cosmeceuticals of the highest nutrient content, with no parabens, sulphates, mineral oil or animal testing can be seen in each recipe’s construction and continuous efficacy.
